Arkansas Vs. South Carolina Final Score: Razorbacks Roll ‘Cocks, 44-28, Injure Connor Shaw

Week 10's SEC undercard proved a couple of things: the Arkansas Razorbacks still have an explosive offense, and the SEC West's hegemony over its brethren in the SEC East is nearly absolute. The Razorbacks pulled away late for a 44-28 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks in Fayetteville.

Tyler Wilson threw for 299 yards and two touchdowns in the victory, and the Razorbacks got another 136 yards and two touchdowns from their running game as Arkansas more than doubled up the Gamecocks in terms of yardage.

South Carolina, by contrast, made efficient use of its scant 206 yards, compiling 197 of them on three touchdown drives. Connor Shaw threw for 128 yards and a touchdown, but fumbled on a late sack, giving the Razorbacks great field position that they turned into a game-sealing touchdown

To make matters worse for the Gamecocks, Shaw was injured on that sack and did not return. That bodes ill for the Gamecocks’ chances over the rest of their schedule, but tonight’s loss means that they have already ceded control of the SEC East to Georgia.

Meanwhile, Arkansas’ big win might give them control of its own destiny in the SEC West, should LSU pull an upset in Tuscaloosa tonight.
