Oklahoma State Vs. Kansas State Final Score: Cowboys Win Thriller Over Pesky Wildcats, 52-45

While the LSU Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide were playing the Game of the Century in Tuscaloosa, the Oklahoma State Cowboys beat the Kansas State Wildcats in the game of this Saturday night in Stillwater. Oklahoma State held against Collin Klein and the Wildcats offense at the goal line in the final seconds to preserve a 52-45 victory.

The two teams combined for 32 points in the fourth quarter, with 25 of them coming in a stretch that took 3:00 of game clock. Brandon Weeden threw for 501 yards and four touchdowns, Justin Blackmon had 13 catches for 205 yards and two touchdowns, and Klein had 375 combined passing and rushing yards, with three touchdowns on the ground and one through the air.

Oklahoma State trailed at 38-37 late in the fourth, but immediately responded with a touchdown and two-point conversion; from there, the two teams each scored another touchdown, and Klein led K-State down the field on an improbable potential game-tying drive.

But Klein, not the most refined passer, misfired on three throws with goal to go, allowing the Cowboys to escape another Big 12 shootout with a spotless record.

Oklahoma State should now be ranked No. 2 when the Week 11 BCS rankings are released on Sunday night. It would be the program’s highest-ever BCS ranking, and give the Cowboys the inside track to a BCS National Championship Game showdown with LSU.
