Stanford: Always The Heisman Bridesmaid, Never The Bride

1970 Heisman winner Jim Plunkett aside, we live in the golden age of Stanford Cardinal football players and Heisman Trophy consideration.

In the past three seasons, a Stanford player has been among the finalists each time. Two years ago it was RB Toby Gerhart and Andrew Luck represented the program the past two seasons. And all three times the Stanford player has finished No. 2.

Gerhart shared his thoughts on the matter using the language of the day.
