Rose Bowl 2012: Starter Peter Konz May Be Out For Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Badgers may be without starting center Peter Konz when they face the Oregon Ducks in the 2012 Rose Bowl on January 2, Tom Mulhern of the Wisconsin State Journal reports.

Konz missed the Badgers’ final three games of the regular season with a dislocated left ankle, but had hoped to return for the bowl game. Head coach Bret Bielema hopes Konz is able to test the ankle when the team begins practices in Los Angeles next week.

“Pete hasn’t practiced with us yet to this date,” Bielema said. “Hopefully, (we’re) going to get him involved in our preparation out there.”

A junior, Konz is considering entering the 2012 NFL Draft and has submitted a draft evaluation request with the NFL’s College Advisory Committee.
