After Tommy Rees started the Champs Sports Bowl three-of-five with an interception, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish sent in Andrew Hendrix. They couldn't send in Dayne Crist, who's transferring to the Kansas Jayhawks, you'll recall. Hendrix saw some duty against Air Force and Stanford, going 15-of-29 on the year so far.

Against the Florida St. Seminoles, he served up a dart to star tight end Tyler Eifert for a conversion and lasered a sideline ball to T.J. Jones before scrambling for his own first down. Things stalled, and a 48-yard field goal was missed.

Notre Dame's defense looks good so far, considering FSU's playing approximately 24 freshman on offense alone. E.J. Manuel sustained back-to-back sacks by Jamoris Slaughter and Aaron Lynch at one point. The Noles have only seven yards, but now enjoy good field position.
It may only be a Dec. 29 bowl game, but let's remember what we're playing for here:
