The Pittsburgh Panthers and Syracuse Orange have something to play for in the Big East undercard, and not just dibs on which school gets to join the ACC Whichever or The Other division next year. The winner earns bowl eligibility and a trip to sunny Memphis perhaps, while the loser gets to enjoy basketball season.
Syracuse Vs. Pittsburgh Halftime Score: Panthers Up, Bowl Eligibility At Stake
So far, Pitt appears more Memphis-inclined, leading 20-10 at the break. Tino Sunseri and Anthony Gonzalez have touchdowns for the Panthers, while Ryan Nassib threw an interception that hurt Cuse's chances. The penalty tally, to Syracuse's detriment: nine to one.
Neither team has gotten much going on the ground -- we’re averaging 2.6 yards per carry here -- so let’s say it’ll be up to Sunseri and Nassib from here on out.
