The Cincinnati Bearcats dominated the Connecticut Huskies in the first half at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati, finishing with a 22 point lead. UConn turnovers gave the Bearcats a nice cushion in the first quarter, as Huskies quarterback Johnny McEntee turned it over twice for touchdowns. The first was a fumble on a sack by Walter Stewart, who simply ripped the ball out of the hands of McEntee in the end zone. The second turnover was a bad pick-six, with Drew Frey taking it in from 15 yards out for the two touchdown lead.
