With undefeated Houston struggling in the Conference USA title game, Kansas State’s hopes of getting an at-large BCS bowl bid are still alive. The Wildcats are looking to finish their season on a high note against upset-minded Iowa State. The game was initially delayed due to inclement weather and lightning in the Manhattan area.
Iowa State Vs. Kansas State Score: Upset-Minded Cyclones Lead Wildcats
Paul Rhoads and the Cyclones, just two weeks removed from their big upset over Oklahoma State, are challenging K-State in the first half, taking a 13-10 lead into the second quarter. Jared Barnett opened the scoring for ISU, hitting Darius Darks on a 30 yard strike for the game's first touchdown. The Wildcats would respond on the very next play to tie it with a 68 yard touchdown pass from Collin Klein to Tramaine Thompson.
The tie wouldn't last long, however, as the Cylcones went right back down the field in five plays to take a 13-7 lead, Jeff Woody rumbled in from one yard out for the go-ahead score. K-State would add a field goal to cut the lead to three mid way through the second quarter.
