The 2012 Gator Bowl rosters are a bit cloudy as of Saturday afternoon as both teams are returning or losing key players. The Florida Gators are losing an offensive lineman while the Ohio St. Buckeyes will likely have their top tight end in the lineup.
Gator Bowl 2012: Florida Loses Matt Patchan, Ohio State May Have Jake Stoneburner Back
The Buckeyes will likely have Jake Stoneburner for the first time since late November, but it doesn't sound like he's going to be able to contribute as much as the coaching staff would prefer.
Interim coach Luke Fickell says Stoneburner had surgery following a 40-34 loss at Michigan in late November. Fickell says Stoneburner won’t be able to play much Monday because “he’s not in the shape to get back in there.”
Fickell adds Saturday that the Buckeyes hope to “have some situational things that we can use him on.”
As far as the Gators are concerned, Will Muschamp's team will be without the services of offensive tackle Matt Patchan after he re-aggravated a back injury in practice this week. Defensive tackle Dominique Easley and Marcus Roberson will both be out on Monday as well.
