Fiesta Bowl Odds 2012: Oklahoma State Is The Early Favorite Over Andrew Luck And Stanford

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are headed to Glendale, AZ to take on the Stanford Cardinal in the 2012 Fiesta Bowl. What do odds makers think about the pairing?

The Oklahoma State Cowboys never quite made that leap over the Alabama Crimson Tide in the BCS rankings, so they will have to settle for a Fiesta Bowl matchup against top NFL prospect Andrew Luck and the Stanford Cardinal. The game will be played at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on January 2nd.

Odds makers have set the initial spread for the game, and Oklahoma State is listed as a 3 point favorite, according to SB Nation partner Oddshark. Meanwhile, 5Dtimes.com has pushed the point spread an additional half point in favor of the Cowboys to make a 3.5 point spread and a -105 money line.

The over/under has not been set for the game at this point, but it should be interesting to see how high odds makers are willing to set the number with a matchup of two offense-oriented teams. Oklahoma State and star wide receiver Justin Blackmon have been running up big numbers all season long, averaging 557 yards of offense and a stunning 49.3 points per game. Meanwhile, quarterback Andrew Luck has led the Stanford offense to an almost equally impressive 480 yards and 43.6 points per game. The scoreboard attendants are likely to be busy during the 2012 Fiesta Bowl. Stay tuned to SB Nation for updates on the point spread, money line, and over/under for the Fiesta Bowl.
