Cliff Harris Dismissed Shortly After Marijuana Citation In Fresno

Troubled All-America cornerback Cliff Harris has been dismissed from Oregon's football team on Monday after news of his marijuana citation was revealed, according to the Fresno Bee. Harris, who was already suspended by the Ducks and was not being allowed to participate in team activities, was cited for having less than an ounce of marijuana on Nov. 25 when he was back home in Fresno.

Under California state law, he could not be arrested for possessing such a small amount of marijuana, so he was cited and released at the scene.

Harris had previously been suspended after he was cited for driving under a suspended license. He had also been suspended at the start of the season after being ticketed for driving 118 mph. The cornerback has not played in any of the Ducks’ six most recent games, including the Pac-12 championship against UCLA.

Due to his various suspensions, Harris has played in just four games this season. Last year, he was named to the All-America team after making six interceptions.
