Gator Bowl 2012: Florida DT Dominique Easley Out With ACL Tear

Florida Gators DT Dominique Easley will miss the Gator Bowl after tearing his ACL in the the team's final game of the season.

The sophomore left the regular-season finale against Florida State on Nov. 26 after twisting his knee on a goal-line play and was carted off the field.

Easley had surgery on Wednesday, according to Florida coach Will Muschamp.

Easley started all 12 games for Florida, making 37 tackles with 7.5 for a loss while totaling 1.5 sacks, three quarterback hurries and one blocked kick.

Quarterback John Brantley and linebacker Darrin Kitchens were also injured in the Florida State game but are expected to play against the Ohio St. Buckeyes in the Gator Bowl.
