Florida High School Football Playoffs 2011: Clemson Recruits Power North Florida Christian To 69-0 Win Over Admiral Farragut

Admiral Farragut had no answer for North Florida Christian.

Led by Clemson recruit Travis Blanks, North Florida Christian (NFC) demolished Admiral Farragut 69-0 to take the 2A Florida state title on Friday. NFC was better at almost every position, and was more composed on the sideline as well. At least seven different players scored touchdowns for NFC, and sophomore running back Jon Vickers had 100+ yards and multiple touchdowns. He’s considering Clemson and Oregon.

This is the largest shutout win in a final game of the Florida State high school playoffs, ever. NFC led 48-0 at the half, and despite owning a 10-game win streak, Farragut had no answer for the up-tempo attack of NFC. Quarterback Matt Dobson had a huge day, accounting for three touchdowns and 300 yards of total offense. Per agreement of the coaches, the game was played under a running clock for the second half.

This is North Florida Christian’s seventh state title.
