“He’s done everything we’ve asked him to do, both me and the athletic department,” Golden said. “Based on my knowledge of the case, and what we know as a university, we feel comfortable reinstating him at this point in time. We’ll reassess as it unveils itself.”SB Nation’s Miami blog, The 7th Floor, hears tell that the charges against Buchanan may be reducing in severity, which would go a long way towards explaining why a player is back on the field after being charged with battery of a police officer.

Buchanan also is accused of three misdemeanors - disorderly conduct, resisting a police officer without violence and trespassing. A court hearing for Buchanan has been scheduled for 9 a.m. April 18th.
