Purdue is a school of engineers, and if engineers are anything it is calculated. Calculation sometimes takes care, and care takes time, so therefore color all of us impressed at the speed with which this t-shirt surfaced in West Lafayette as a local bookstore.
Purdue Gets Early Lead In Big Ten Taunt-a-thon
Excellent hustle, Boilermakers, and if I may say so some snazzy graphic design work thrown in there, too. If I weren’t fully informed of the case involving Buckeye players exchanging memorabilia for tattoos and Jim Tressel’s subsequent flubbing of the investigation into the case, I would think it was a real t-shirt for a real place.
Wait, Jim Tressel doesn’t really own a tattoo parlor/ pawn shop does he? Because that would make this whole story a lot simpler if he did. Jim could have just been inking up a couple of his bros, and the equipment exchange would just be players returning equipment, and POOF! NCAA case evaporated in an instant. Jim Tressel may in fact start this shop just for future instances like Tatgate.
He isn’t the NCAA football coach who owns a pawn shop and tattoo parlor, though. Let’s keep that clear. Bret Bielema was the first to come up with that idea, and everyone else is just copycatting him and the success of “Bret’s Pawn’d And Drawn’d”, Madison’s one-stop shop for paying the rent and infuriating the ‘rents with a back piece you most certainly will not regret getting in a drunken stupor one unfortunate Saturday night.
