On the same day frequently suspended South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback Stephen Garcia was reinstated by head coach Steve Spurrier, quarterbacks coach G.A. Mangus also returned to the team, reports Travis Haney of The Post in Charleston, South Carolina.

Mangus was suspended after last week’s arrest on nuisance charges in Greenville, South Carolina.
While attending the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association, police observed Mangus urinating in the street at 1:30 in the morning. Mangus is due in court on August 26.
The 42-year-old Mangus is entering his third season as the Gamecocks quarterbacks coach. Prior to joining the Gamecocks coaching staff in 2009, Mangus spent three seasons as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Middle Tennessee State. Mangus has also coached at three Division III schools (Widener, Ursinus, and Delaware Valley).
Mangus played quarterback at the University of Florida from 1988 to 1991 and was a graduate assistant and assistant offensive line coach on Spurrier’s coaching staff from 1992-94.
