South Florida DT Todd Chandler Ruled Ineligible, Skip Holtz Says

USF defensive lineman Todd Chandler was benched for classroom shortcomings.

Todd Chandler was a three-star commitment coming out of high school, and not a bad catch for a mid-tier Big East team like South Florida. But Chandler was a redshirt freshman last year and didn't see any playing time. Looks like he's not going to see any this year, either:

Chandler at best was going to be a backup for the Bulls this year -- there were juniors and seniors ahead of him on the depth chart -- but would likely at least have gotten some experience playing game-situation snaps at tackle. Now, he’s going to be spending the semester hitting the books, trying to get back on the field via the classroom. There’s always next year.
