Oregon State Vs. Wisconsin Game Time, TV Schedule, Spread And More
The No. 8 Wisconsin Badgers hosts the Oregon State Beavers, who opened the 2011 season with a home loss to Sacramento State last weekend.
Quarterback Russell Wilson (formerly of North Carolina State) earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors by completing 10-of-13 pass attempts for 255 yards and two touchdowns and adding a 46-yard touchdown run in his Badgers debut. An experienced Badgers defense (nine starters returning in 2011) held the Rebels to 292 yards of total offense, with senior defensive end Louis Nzegwu posting two of the team's six quarterback sacks on the afternoon.
Oregon State's season-opener did not go nearly as well, as the Beavers fell to the Sacramento State Hornets 29-28 in overtime at Reser Stadium. The Hornets led 21-6 after three quarters, but the Beavers rallied behind the running of freshman running back Malcolm Agnew, who ran for 223 yards and scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to force overtime. Agnew put the Beavers in position to avoid being upset, and subsequently embarrassed by losing to an FCS school, with a 17-yard touchdown run in the first overtime. Sacramento State responded with a six-yard touchdown pass from Jeff Fleming to Brandyn Reed, who connected again on the two-point conversion to score the upset.
