LSU Vs. Northwestern State Game Time, TV Schedule, Spread And More

The LSU Tigers have a good argument for being the No. 1 team in the nation following their victory over the Oregon Ducks, but for now they get a soft spot on the schedule with Northwestern State this weekend.

The LSU Tigers receive a breather this week following their 40-27 victory over the Oregon Ducks in Arlington, Tx. They will face the Northwestern State Demons for the first time since 1942, when the Tigers faced the school under the name Louisiana State Normal. That 40-0 victory by the Tigers improved them to 10-0 in series history.

LSU looked solid in its victory over Oregon. The defensive line put together a strong performance while the secondary did what it needed to keep the Ducks from putting the ball into the end zone. The defense also was effective at causing and recovering Oregon fumbles, leading directly to two touchdowns.

Jarrett Lee did a serviceable job at quarterback for the Tigers, but it there is still plenty of room for improvement. He completed just 10-of-22 passes for 98 yards. With an easier opportunity against the FCS Demons this weekend, Lee and his receivers should find it much easier to develop a connection.

Game date, time: 8:00 p.m. ET, Saturday, Sept. 10

Location: Tiger Stadium -- Baton Rouge, La.

TV channel: Tigervision PPV and ESPN3
