In one of the most intriguing games of the weekend, Dan Mullen's up and coming Mississippi State Bulldogs travel to Jordan-Hare Stadium to take on a shaky-looking Auburn Tigers team. In Week 1, Auburn had to score two late touchdowns to avoid losing to a Utah State Aggies team with a true freshman quarterback, while Mississippi State rolled over Memphis and put up over 600 yards of total offense.

Auburn host Mississippi State at home, but they’re underdogs after last week’s struggles against Utah State. The Tigers’ defense will have their hands full with Vick Ballard and Chris Relf on the ground.
Auburn has won nine of the last ten games between the two teams, but they're underdogs at home after last week's performance. Their run defense was abysmal against Utah State, but they're facing a step up in competition this week. Vick Ballard looks set for a huge day on the ground, while Chris Relf is a threat to pick up rushing yards from the quarterback position.
If Auburn is going to get a win and restore their fans' confidence, it's going to be on quarterback Barrett Trotter. Auburn's run defense is probably going to struggle, so Trotter, along with running back Michael Dyer, are going to have to put up points.
