College Football Rankings: Week 3 USA Today Poll Enthrones Oklahoma

Oklahoma is on top of both parts of the Week 3 college football rankings. The Sooners matched their performance in the Week 3 AP Poll with a No. 1 ranking in the Week 3 USA Today coaches poll.

Oklahoma, idle in Week 2, is followed by Alabama, LSU, Boise State, and Florida State in the top five. The only alteration in that top five from Week 2 is Boise State jumping Florida State for No. 4, despite not playing in Week 2.

Elsewhere, South Florida and Baylor joined the poll’s final five teams after losses by Missouri and Penn State opened up two spots in the top 25, and Auburn moved up to the top 20 after defeating Mississippi State in a wild game on Saturday.
