Boise State Football Sanctions To Be Announced By NCAA On Tuesday
The NCAA will announce sanctions against the Boise State University athletic department on Tuesday afternoon.

During an investigation of the school, the NCAA had found 22 violations across five sports, including the woman’s tennis program, men and women’s track and field programs, and the football program.
The school has imposed sanctions on itself, including reducing the number of practices before the season and having three fewer scholarships to give over the next two years. Three foreign-born football players -- Geraldo Boldewijn, Cedric Febis and Ricky Tjong-A-Tjoe -- were held out of the team's 35-21 win over the Georgia Bulldogs in the Georgia Dome on September 3.
Additionally, Gene Bleymaier, the school’s longtime athletic director, was fired last month.
”I certainly didn’t want my career here at Boise State to end like this,” Bleymaier told the Idaho Statesman. “Sure, it bothers me. I’m human and I care about this place and I had wanted to finish my career here.”
