PHOTO: Toledo Fans Are In Rare Form On Friday Night

Quite a few things went wrong in Toledo on Friday night, and few of which had to do with the game itself. First, consider that this was a Friday night game. These types of events are a recipe for disaster, with college students typically taking full advantage of a lengthy tailgate.

Next, add in yellow foam footballs, given to, or smuggled into, the Toledo student section. Naturally, these wonderful little projectiles were thrown onto the field early and often, resulting in a confusing sight for those watching at home. It looked like the fan in section 16 was throwing a flag, to put it plainly.

Finally, there was this guy, who is pictured after the jump. As ESPN cut to a break, the cameras panned to the crowd, and found him making quite the obscene gesture.

If you can’t tell, that’s him making a motion with his hand while his mouth was open as pictured. Also, sweet mask-fro next to him.

If nothing else, the off-field distractions, including a telestrator dong, have provided plenty of entertainment on this fine Friday night.
