Auburn Vs. Clemson Update: Tigers Both Score, Now 21-7 Halfway Through 2nd

Not that anyone really expected the Tigers vs. Tigers game to be an old-school, defensive clash. But it's turning into a track meet quickly. Auburn struck first -- twice -- before Clemson joined them on the board with a four-yard pass from Tajh Boyd to DeAndre Hopkins for a touchdown. Auburn promptly scored again to go up 21-7.

About halfway through the second quarter, the two teams have already combined for almost 350 yards to fuel those 28 points. Auburn has already run for 151 yards, while Barrett Trotter has thrown for 103 yards and a touchdown on 10 attempts (six completions). And it could have been worse -- there have been almost as many blown big plays on the game as there have been actual big plays.

Hey, nobody said it was great football. But there’s certainly an entertaining game shaping up in the Upstate.
