Temple’s lead against Penn State in 2011 was shorter than its 2010 advantage. Silas Redd capped a second quarter drive by the Nittany Lions with a 21-yard scamper to pay dirt, and the score is tied, 7-7, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

The major difference for Penn State on its scoring drive? Theoretically, the insertion of Matt McGloin for Robert Bolden at quarterback. But McGloin completed just two of three passes for eight yards on the drive, and it was Redd, who now has eight carries for 52 yards, who carried the Nits on their 50-yard, seven-play drive.
Temple has struggled on offense since its 82-yard scoring drive, but are in the process of driving into Penn State territory.
