Auburn Vs. Clemson Final Score: Charmed Winning Streak Ends In Death Valley

A 17-game winning streak is something to be proud of, Auburn Tigers fans. So is a run of 14 straight wins over a local semi-rival. But the Clemson Tigers pulled away with a 38-24 victory in Death Valley, likely knocking Auburn out of the top 25 for the first time since 2009.
Tajh Boyd tore Auburn's defense to pieces, posting 386 yards and four touchdowns through the air in addition to a handful of useful runs. Clemson combined for 241 yards rushing, led by D.J. Howard's 85, while Sammy Watkins caught 10 passes for 155 yards and a pair of scores.
Auburn's offense did some damage of its own, racking up 435 yards -- only 189 shy of Clemson! -- including 151 yards from Michael Dyer. But Clemson was unstoppable on third down, converting an absurd 14 of its 18 opportunities, which helped limit Auburn's offense to only 23 minutes worth of possession.
