Wisconsin Vs. NIU Score: Russell Wilson Yet To Cool Down, Badgers Up

All Russell Wilson everything continues. The Wisconsin Badgers are leading 14-7 early in their first real challenge of the season, with Wilson throwing a pair of touchdowns to Nick Toon against the Northern Illinois Huskies. In eight attempts, Wilson has missed just once, and has already thrown for 127 yards a minute into the second quarter.

Oh, and he's the game's leading rusher, with 25 yards. Jared Abbrederis is Wisconsin's leading receiver after securing a 37-yard grab.

NIU quarterback Chandler Harnish is putting up a fight, however, going 5-of-8 for 70 yards so far. Perez Ashford has been good for 46 of those yards.

Through two games and one quarter, Wilson has thrown for 571 yards and rushed for 98. That might not sound like a whole lot, but with as good as the rest of Wisconsin’s team already was, it certainly appears to have provided a jump to another level.
