Texas Vs. UCLA Final Score: Mack Brown Owns Rose Bowl Once More

After winning two straight Rose Bowls earlier in the decade, the Texas Longhorns have again made Pasadena feel like home. The Horns downed the UCLA Bruins 49-20, retaliating for at least a portion of those three straight blowout losses at the hands of the mighty Bruins.

It was 21-0 before UCLA got on the scoreboard, and the Bruins wouldn’t come within 15 points for the rest of the competition. The Horns coasted out the victory on the legs of Malcolm Brown and others, with Brown posting 114 of Texas’ 240 rushing yards.

Both teams fiddled with their quarterback presentations, but only UT's rearrangement was by design. Case McCoy and David Ash carried out their ordained rotation, though they only combined to throw 18 times. Receiver Jaxon Shipley got to throw a five-yard touchdown pass at one point too. (Wow, Garrett Gilbert is WAY down the depth chart now.)

UCLA, however, had to excuse Kevin Prince after three quick interceptions, with Richard Brehaut faring somewhat better. At least he didn't turn the ball over.
