Oklahoma Vs. FSU: Travis Lewis A Go In Tallahassee

Injured Oklahoma Sooners linebacker Travis Lewis is suited up for OU's Saturday night game against the Florida St. Seminoles, Travis Haney reports. Lewis broke part of his foot in August and was expected to be out until early October, but had hinted at the possibility of playing this week before appearing to downplay his chances. In private, he'd apparently been maintaining he'd play.

As Haney notes, Sooners coach Bob Stoops never actually ruled out the possibility of Lewis participating. There’s a big question of how much of an impact he can make, considering he’s not yet 100 percent, but even seeing Lewis in uniform is going to provide a big boost for Oklahoma in a critical road game.

As a junior, Lewis piled up 109 tackles and three interceptions, including six tackles and a pick against FSU.
