LSU, West Virginia Game Update: Tyrann Mathieu Everywhere, Tigers Extend Lead

LSU's Brandon Taylor picked off Geno Smith after a ball bounced off Tavon Austin's hands. Just like earlier, the mistake lead to a Tigers touchdown, a 22-yard Michael Ford touchdown. It's 13-0, Tigers, after a mishandled extra point.

It could be worse right now, considering the Mountaineers made another significant mistake just before this one.

Tyrann Mathieu forced the seventh fumble of his young LSU Tigers career -- young as in he's a true sophomore -- wrenching the ball away from a West Virginia Mountaineers receiver who probably thought the play was just about over. Not much came of that drive, but he slid in to down the ensuing punt at the three. He's pretty good at sports.

WVU receiver Stedman Bailey and LSU corner Morris Claiborne got into it on the second Eers drive. Ferocious blocking by Bailey led to a little extra shoving, which brought on a flag and had Les Miles sending Claiborne to the sidelines.
