Oregon Vs. LSU: Game Time, TV Schedule, Odds And More
The No. 3 Oregon Ducks and No. 4 LSU Tigers open up their 2011 schedules in The Cowboys Classic in Arlington, Texas.
With the Tigers boasting one of college football's most talented secondaries, Ducks quarterback Darron Thomas is expected to hand the ball off to LaMichael James, a Heisman Trophy hopeful who led the nation with 144.3 yards per game and 24 touchdowns in 2010. The Ducks will be playing without All-American cornerback Cliff Harris, who was suspended for the game following an incident where he was cited for speeding and driving on a suspended license. Thomas was in the car with Harris, but was not disciplined by head coach Chip Kelly.
LSU will be without starting quarterback Jordan Jefferson, who along with reserve linebacker Josh Johns, has been suspended indefinitely after he was arrested on felony second-degree battery charges following an August 19 bar fight in Baton Rouge. LSU head coach Les Miles has named senior quarterback Jarrett Lee the starter. Lee started nine games over his freshman and sophomore seasons, and completed 54-of-98 pass attempts for 537 yards with two touchdowns and an interception last season.
