The Michigan Wolverines and Virginia Tech Hokies will meet in a BCS bowl game that's known as the other controversial bowl game. The most controversial game is of course the re-match between LSU and Alabama for the National Title, but the Sugar bypassed two higher ranked teams in Boise State and Kansas State to take the more high profile programs in Michigan and Virginia Tech.

Virginia Tech doesn't care that people are upset, however. "That's the computer's job. They picked us to go there," Virginia Tech safety Eddie Whitley said. "Fans can talk whatever they want to talk, but we've got to focus on Michigan and be ready." The Virginia Tech offense will flow through ACC offensive player of the year in running back David Wilson, who's rushed for over 1,600 yards on the season.
Michigan on the other hand will be led on offense by quarterback Denard Robinson, who led the Wolverines in both passing and rushing, picking up nearly 1,200 yards on the ground, including 16 rushing touchdowns. Robinson's overall numbers are down from last season, but the Wolverines say they're not down on him. "I think the biggest thing has been everyone else's opinion on what Denard was," head coach Brady Hoke said. "And we never put any limitations on what he is."
