The 2012 TicketCity Bowl is nearing some embarrassing territory. The Houston Cougars, who've called 23 passes and zero runs, have outscored the Penn St. Nittany Lions, 17-0, with two minutes left in the first quarter. The latest: an 11-yard toss to Justin Johnson, followed by a show of frustration from PSU's secondary.
Penn State Vs. Houston Score Update: Case Keenum Dissecting Nittany Lions
Keenum's been known for putting up bursts like this, but not against one of the best defenses in the entire country. A stout, stout Big Ten defense! Keenum has 201 yards already, with 112 of those going to Patrick Edwards.
Penn State, meanwhile, has all of nine total yards, with Rob Bolden missing on all four of his pass attempts so far.
It's too early to call it a blowout, but PSU's offense isn't really built to come back from far behind.
