VIDEO: Florida Scores On Blocked Punt To Extend 2012 Gator Bowl Lead

Potent special teams units were part of the dominance that Urban Meyer's Florida teams put together during the peak of his tenure in Gainesville. Florida's Chris Rainey reminded the future Ohio State coach of that much in the third quarter of the 2012 Gator Bowl with his sixth career blocked punt, which Graham Stewart subsequently returned for a touchdown to give the Gators a 21-10 lead.

Rainey wasn't the only Gator in on the block; Solomon Patton would likely have snuffed the punt if Rainey didn't. Stewart, a little-used reserve linebacker, scored for the first time in his Florida career.

The Gators now have 14 points on special teams, thanks to the blocked punt and an Andre Debose kickoff return.
