The Oregon Ducks picked up a touchdown after picking off Russell Wilson on defense to take a 42-38 lead over the Wisconsin Badgers. Wisconsin took the ensuing kickoff back 30 yards, beginning their drive in solid field position. Someone reminded the Ducks they were allowed to play defense in the game, as they forced Wisconsin to punt for just the second time today.
2012 Rose Bowl Update: Wisconsin Punts For Just The Second Time
On the first play of the drive, Wilson was flushed out of the pocket and had to throw the ball away putting the team in 2nd and 10. On the next play, Montee Ball was stopped in the backfield for a loss when linebacker Michael Clay shot a gap and made the tackle in the backfield. On third down, Russell Wilson was again pressured by the Oregon pass rush and had to dump the ball off to Montee Ball, short of the first down marker, forcing the Badgers to punt the ball away.
