Sugar Bowl 2012 Score Update: Denard Robinson Touchdown To Junior Hemingway Puts Michigan Up 17-6

The Michigan Wolverines offense is still struggling to move the football in the second half and avoided disaster on their last drive. Denard Robinson dropped back to pass and was nearly picked off. Initially the play was ruled an interception, but it was overturned after a review. As you can see, the ball came out and touched the ground.

Michigan wound up taking a big sack on third down after the interception was overturned, but they were able to get the ball right back. On the first play of the Virginia Tech drive, quarterback Logan Thomas was picked off by Frank Clark, giving the ball right back to the Wolverines who are looking to increase their 10-6 lead.

Thomas had been very good prior to that throw and clearly just didn't put enough air under it. To keep up with the ridiculousness of the Sugar Bowl, Denard Robinson was picked off just two plays later by Jayron Hosley, but the play was called back when Hosley was called for pass interference. Two plays later, just to keep up with the "LOLWUT" play quota, Denard Robinson connected deep again with Junior Hemingway for another Michigan touchdown, putting the Wolverines up 17-6.
