Utah will be the first Pac-12 football team to take the field in 2012 on Aug. 30 and league play will start on Sept. 15 with USC visiting Stanford, it was announced on Wednesday with the release of the 2012 schedule (full schedule below). It was also announced that every game will be on national TV for the first time in conference history.

Making the universal national coverage possible is 44 games on various ESPN and Fox channels and 34 on the Pac-12 Networks. Exact times and broadcast schedules were not yet released.

“The one thing we heard loud and clear from fans across the Conference is they want to see their teams play every week,” Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott said. “Starting in 2012 fans can see all games throughout the country.”

While USC and Stanford kick off Pac-12 play, most teams won’t have their first conference game until the following week. Included in the first full week of conference play is Oregon opening their title defense at home against Arizona State.
