The Florida St. Seminoles concluded their spring practice season Saturday with their spring game and were able to leave the field without any injuries, which is a comfort to ‘Noles fans everywhere.

Bud Elliott of SB Nation's Tomahawk Nation, after watching the game, acknowledged the main goal of spring practice -- improve and stay healthy -- in his reaction post after the game, but didn't come away thrilled with how star quarterback E.J. Manuel performed:
Quarterback EJ Manuel did not run or scramble much at all, which is normally a major part of his game. Coach Fisher made Manuel focus on his throwing. Manuel did have some nice throws, but also struggled reading the middle of the field and had some accuracy issues. The game did nothing to increase my confidence that he will ever fully “get it.” But he did look better at times.

If Manuel can improve, an improved defense from last year’s group may mean the Seminoles can try to live up to the lofty expectations they fell short of last year.
