Auburn wide receiver Trovon Reed was arrested in Thibodaux, La., where he played his high school football, according to a report from The Houma Courier. Police said the arrest was for failing to appear in court.

Trovon Reed, a wide receiver from Auburn, was arrested for failing to appear in court.


Reed played in 10 games during his sophomore season as a receiver and kick returned and had one of the top catch rates in the SEC in 2011.

Reed, a former Thibodaux High football standout, was a passenger in the car stopped for a traffic violation. A routine computer check alerted police that Reed had two warrants for failing to appear in court in Terrebonne Parish.
It was not immediately clear what the original charges were, but police officials said they are from April 2011.He was highly recruited coming out of high school, where he played quarterback -- including participating in the Army All-American Bowl after his senior season.
