The Missouri Tigers got some bad news early Tuesday morning, as back-up quarterback Corbin Berkstresser was arrested in Columbia. Berkstresser was arrested for fleeing the scene of an accident and could face a felony charge for damage to another vehicle, according to a report by the Columbia Tribune.

Columbia police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Lynnwood Drive at 1 a.m. after a parked vehicle on Lynnwood had been struck by another vehicle, Officer Latisha Stroer said. The damage was to the rear and front passenger side of the vehicle. Initial damage was estimated at more than $1,000, according to the probable cause statement. No one was hurt in the collision. Berkstresser admitted his involvement in the incident. The statement does not say how he was identified as the suspected driver.

Berkstresser was taken into custody at 3:34 a.m. and held on $4,500 bond, later being released after posting bail. According to the report by Dave Matter, Missouri would not comment on the status of Berkstresser in regards to the football team. Berkstresser ran the Missouri first-team offense when starting quarterback James Franklin suffered a shoulder injury in March.

Cornerback Tristen Holt was arrested for a similar situation last year and was immediately dismissed from the football team.
