Conference Realignment Press Conferences Schedule: CUSA, MWC Have Busy Days
Here’s what we’re staring at. All times ET, all times Friday. Some are officially listed on school websites, while others were reported by Brett McMurphy.
- 11 a.m.: Louisiana Tech to Conference USA
- 11:30 a.m.: Charlotte and Texas-San Antonio to Conference USA, Utah State to Mountain West
- Noon: Florida International to Conference USA
- 3 p.m.: San Jose State to Mountain West
- 4:30 p.m.: North Texas to Conference USA
McMurphy reported earlier in the week Old Dominion will be among the six joining Conference USA, but as of Thursday, ODU is still weighing the move:
The school has also not had sufficient time to lay out a case, both for and against, to its board of visitors.Board member Jeffrey W. Ainslie said Wednesday that members had received a letter Tuesday from President John Broderick informing them that an analysis of a possible move from the CAA would be forthcoming. He said he isn't aware of a timetable and that the board has not been asked to consider a specific offer.
