Nebraska’s Tyler Moore Taking Season Off, Considering Florida, FSU

Nebraska left tackle Tyler Moore has left the school for a semester to decide whether to transfer or not. He could return to the Cornhuskers but is also considering Florida and Florida State.

Nebraska Cornhuskers left tackle Tyler Moore has left the school and will take the fall semester off to reconsider his options. One such result would be Moore returning to Nebraska, but he'll also take a hard look at Florida State and Florida, his father told the Tampa Bay Times.

Apparently, reports of Moore transferring to South Florida are untrue, his father, Brian Moore, told the newspaper. So too are the reports that the offensive lineman was not meshing well with head coach Bo Pelini.

Moore will apparently use this down time to meet with coaches from the Seminoles and the Gators, though Pelini has left the opportunity to return to Nebraska as an option for Moore. His father said he’ll take classes at a nearby college and make a final decision in January.

The 6-foot-6, 305 pound lineman was expected to be the starting left tackle for the Cornhuskers in 2012.
