Mississippi State wide receivers coach Angelo Mirando has resigned, the school announced on Sunday night. The school released a statement to reporters saying that Mirando resigned for “unforeseen personal issues.“

Mirando was a graduate assistant under Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen at Florida in 2008, then followed Mullen to Starkville in 2009. He was promoted to wide receivers coach in January 2011.

Mississippi State had the 94th-ranked passing attack in FBS in 2011, with no receiver hauling in more than 35 passes.

Mirando is the second SEC receivers coach to resign this summer: Florida’s Aubrey Hill resigned in July, shortly after a second Yahoo! Sports report implicating him in recruiting misdeeds at Miami surfaced.
