Connor Shaw Injury Update: South Carolina QB Expected To Play Next Week
Even with the injured shoulder, Shaw managed to bring the Gamecocks back for a 17-13 victory, keeping the team’s perfect season in tact through one week. The junior was noticeably uncomfortable with his shoulder even while leading the comeback, though, so the team will presumably be cautious.

Yet here we are, watching injured quarterback Connor Shaw run tentative options stuff and checkdowns to Marcus Lattimore.
Lattimore doesn’t quite seem 100 percent either -- there’s got to be some explanation for the SEC’s most renowned running back having only 14 carries so far, right?

Shaw’s arm was completely immobile as he headed to the locker room, and early reports indicated it was a shoulder contusion. Prior to the injury, Shaw was 2-for-3 for 19 yards, with one interception and no touchdowns. In the 2011 season he posted a 65.4 percent completion rating while racking up 1,448 yards, 14 touchdowns and six interceptions.
