Jonathan Wev Injury: Navy CB Won’t Return With Head Injury

Navy cornerback Jonathan Wev went down against Notre Dame when trying to help out on a tackle. Wev stayed on the ground for a bit before he was helped off the field by members of the training staff.

CBS reports Wev will miss the rest of the game with a head injury. He was being attended to on the sideline with what appeared to be head examinations to see if he’d suffered a concussion. With this being the first game, training staffs want to be safe, as is the case with any head injury at any other point.

Navy trailed Notre Dame, 20-0 in the second quarter. The Irish are having their way with Navy, so far putting up well over 200 yards of total offense compared to the Navy’s 89.
