Brandon Jenkins Injury: Foot Contusion Ends FSU DE’s Night

Florida State defensive end Brandon Jenkins went down during the season opener against Murray State, suffering what’s being called a “foot contusion.” This, from our own Bud Elliot:

FSU AA defensive end brandon jenkins’ injury is not thought to be serious. He will be held out for rest of game with “foot contusion”

Jenkins is a tough defender and was the anchor the Noles’ defensive unit that was ranked second nationally in stopping the run and fourth in points allowed last season. Florida State is manhandling Murray State, leading 38-3 in the third quarter. With that score, there’s not too much motivation to risk putting Jenkins back in the game, especially if he’s supposed to have such a big year for the team.
