Jacksonville State Vs. Arkansas Final Score: Razorbacks Overcome Early Mistakes, Win 49-24

The No. 10 Arkansas Razorbacks started slow yet walked away with an easy 49-24 win over Jacksonville State on Saturday night in Fayetteville, AR.

The visiting Gamecocks scored 14 points in 2:31 across the first and second quarters, taking advantage of a Chris Gragg fumble to take a surprising 14-7 lead. From that point forward, however, it was all Arkansas football.

The Razorbacks scored 28 unanswered points in the second quarter to blow the game open late in the half, although a last-second Alan Bonner touchdown pass before halftime put some doubt into whether the rout was indeed on.

Arkansas would score two quick touchdowns in the third quarter, however, extending their lead to 49-24 before shutting things down and bringing in the backups in the fourth quarter.

Box Score Hero: Arkansas QB Tyler Wilson was nearly perfect on the night, 19-for-27 for 369 yards and three touchdowns.

Rankings Ramifications: The No. 10 Arkansas Razorbacks should not see their top ten ranking change.

But Did They Cover? The Razorbacks failed to cover the 41-point spread.

Next Week’s Schedule: Arkansas faces Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. ET, while Jacksonville State takes on UT Chattanooga at 6 p.m. ET on Sept. 8.
