It was unknown Thursday whether Cougars starting quarterback Jeff Tuel would play. Tuel injured his knee in last Saturday's win over Eastern Washington. Backup Connor Halliday would get the start if Tuel can't go. Either quarterback would like to get wide receiver Marquess Wilson going in Leach's offense. Wilson has just eight catches for 108 yards so far this season.
UNLV, meanwhile, is probably one of the worst teams in the country. The Rebels lost to FCS team Northern Arizona last week, 17-14.
Game time, TV channel: Friday, 6 p.m. PT, ESPN
Point spread: Washington State is favored by 11.5 points
