Missouri quarterback James Franklin is a game-time decision for Saturday's home game against Arizona State, according to multiple reports. Missouri opened the week as 8 1/2-point favorites over Arizona State, yet lines plunged to 3 1/2 even before the injury news fully came out.

The dual-threat quarterback, who threw for 2,800 yards and rushed for 981 yards last season, including 15 rushing touchdowns, spent most of the offseason recovering from shoulder surgery. Franklin was sacked just twice by the Bulldogs on Saturday, yet certainly took a beating against the aggressive and physical defense.

Corbin Berkstresser is the backup to Franklin and has completed five passes for 60 yards and a touchdown this season during mop-up duty in Missouri's 62-10 win over Southeastern Louisiana.

The Tigers are coming off a painful 41-20 loss against Georgia last Saturday, in which Missouri held a lead late in the third quarter before allowing 24 unanswered points. Franklin was 25-of-41 for 269 yards and two touchdowns, throwing one interception in the game. For the season, Franklin has passed for 400 yards, three touchdowns and one interception, while adding 64 more yards on the ground.
