Travell Dixon Reportedly Transferring To Washington From Alabama

Travell Dixon will transfer to the University of Washington, according to a report. Dixon was a highly regarded juco prospect with significant athleticism but questionable football skills development.

Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Travell Dixon will reportedly transfer to the Washington Huskies, says Scout.com. Dixon is a juco transfer from East Arizona Community College who cited "family and personal reasons" for wanting to transfer.

Dixon earned high praise for his raw athleticism (including a 4.4 40 yard dash) as a junior college prospect, but because he only began playing football as a high school senior, he was still behind in development. The complexity of Alabama’s defense was a significant challenge for him. SB Nation’s Alabama blog Roll ‘Bama Roll pointed out that with the Tide’s secondary set to return next year more-or-less intact, Dixon may simply be concerned about his level of exposure.

As a freshman at East Arizona, Dixon collected 26 tackles and two interceptions and was named to the All-WSFL and All-ACCAC teams.
